Canadian YA flag: Shane Peacock at McNalRob

Hey Torontonians,

A couple of weeks ago, a friend and I hit the "new" McNally Robinson in Toronto --- located in....well... the most inconvenient location ever in the history of the world.

Anyhow, beautiful store; lovely Prairie Ink restaurant ( with amazing pinot grigio ) and a great selection.

Looks like they have some decent events coming up. One I am highlighting is Shane Peacock: YA author who wrote the Eye of The Crow and some other boy Sherlock Holmes books.

Peacock's YA is definitely for the demographic. So, if you are an adult who enjoys YA --- thinking that perhaps it will hold a deeper meaning or symbolism for adults in a subtle way--- you aren't going to get that. Nevertheless, the books are a lot of fun.

Award winning author Shane Peacock reads from his latest title, Vanishing Girl, in an event for children aged nine and up.
The third case in the compelling Boy Sherlock Holmes series is full of as many twists and turns as the back streets of Victorian London.

A biographer, journalist, and screenwriter, he is also the author of several novels and plays. He has received many honours for his writing, including the prestigious Arthur Ellis Award for Eye of the Crow, the first of his Boy Sherlock Holmes series. Shane Peacock lives with his wife and three children near Cobourg, Ontario. "

well-played Shane Peacock
